Great place for beginner riders or young horses. Trails are all wide fairly flat and mostly easy. Some shallow stream crossings. |

Campground has potable water, 2 vault toilet, large corrals, 13 campsites 4 with 4 horse stalls. @ large corrals and 2 medium size corrals. Can be very dusty mid summer. Usually no mosquitos or bees. Numerous short or long trail rides. Elev. 3400 feet No reservations. Camp Fee

Coming from the West, 3 miles past Black Butte Ranch turn off turn R onto Cold Springs cutoff road 2 miles to marked turn off. From the East apprx. 7 miles west on Hwy 20 turn L onto FS 1012 (Cold Springs) or take Hwy 242 4.2 miles, turn FS 1012 (Cold Springs) follow signs.

More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes)
Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand)
Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
